it seems the aspect of android that's liked the most by many developers and users isn't that popular with google, being opened sourced.

google took a hit from the European parliament recently for putting anti competitive restrictions on manufacturers if they wanted to use android kinda making a mockery of it being open source as well.

come to discover they've been working on it's successor code named project fuchsia OS

what do you expect. the market shouldn't be monopolistic, coercing manufacturer to brand in apps for revenue..
