not cardboard but i tryd sometng better that cardbord made with plastic was bit expensive..but it strains ur eyes, although its funny...converted all normal videos into 3D an was amazing to watch my fav song videos in 3d, even 360 videos looked quality..but then again ur eyes will b straind withn 15-30 min * +

there used to be a document you could download and print out so that you had a template to make your own. not aware of them selling precut cardboard with magnets included. * +
