Actually there is a whatsapp update released for BB 7 devices launched this week as I own a BB9900 I did the upgrade and yes there won't be future updates but if u still have whatsapp on your phone it should still work u just won't get the newest versions or have access to latest features. The new BB Priv would still have new updates available as its the 1st fully android BB * +

The new update also has a new option to upload PDF files, future versions will allow other document formats * +

And I'm still on whatsapp with my BB9900 and since my last post here there has been 2 updates for my BB... Its only facebook that had an update but it was actually just a homescreen link to the mobile version of facebook. Lucky I still had a older version file of fb and just installed that and now just deny the update warning. * +
