it should never be unsafe if you're using it correctly... that said I've never heard of it, so run a virus scan on it !

can't imagine one app can adequately support many phones though... * +

I was doing a search on the name and malware came up as one of the autocomplete options...

the instructions ask you to turn off your anti virus software before you start.

I've used root genius on my pc to root my Hisense U939 device and I have not had any problem neither Avira or Malwarebytes on my pc flagged it as malware spyware or a virus... I suspect it depends from where u download it... Also remember that some AV and malware software has a lot of false positives regarding to mobile software even pc games. As a gamer I disable all my AV before I install games or play them. * +
