On a phone that takes a memory card?? Astrofile won't let me delete from my memory card cause of kit Kat and want to know if it still does this on 5.0 * +

it was never a bug, it's Google's policy, so lollipop will be the same...

just download a kitkat SD fix from the store. although you need root I think... * +

What phone is it? Samsungs have a file manager built-in that allows managing files on both internal and external memory, even on KitKat, so it has never been a problem for me. * +

yes it's only third party apps that lost write privileges... try gallery if it's video of photos and you haven't got a default file manager...

or google kitkat media_rw code and add it yourself via adb, it's only two lines * +

It's a HTC, I've managed to delete some stuff but files that ain't supported by the phone only show up in astrofile so can't delete them, I'll just put the memory card in the laptop and do it old skool lol * +

if you've got android device bridge on the lappy you can fix it for good without root...

then just save it and reboot (screenshot isn't from adb) * +
