Am already using the note3, but my best friend wants us to swap, is it okay * +

I believe it to be a fair swap. both phones have very simular processors, the 801 cpu in the S5 is only marginally faster than the 800 in the Note 3, but the Note 3 kind of cancels out that advantage by having more ram at 3gb, it also has more internal memory, typically 32gb. you dont get any water or dust resistance with the note 3 but you get a larger screen of course. the note 3 has a 13 megapixel camera as opposed to a 16 megapixel on the S5. both shoot 4k video. * +

you also get a heart rate monitor with the S5. so really both of you will loose and gain in different areas. the S5 has a great screen just like the note 3, both are full HD. these are both great devices in their own right. * +

I'd say keep your Note 3, the S5 is a great phone but the Note 3 in my opinion is better, especially if you value its large display. The 3GB RAM is also a nice thing in the Note 3 and so is its large battery, if I'm not mistaken the Note 3 does have a much better batt rating vs. the S5.


If you do swap anyway, you're still getting a brilliant device, you may just appreciate the water and dust proofing of the S5 as well as its compact design. * +

agree with polo I would keep your note 3. the only reason to swap would be if you dislike the size. * +
