My friend has a HTC m8 unbranded, they got a system update message and went ahead and updated, big problems, camera not working at all, cannot connect to wifi and sd card unrecognised, we have done a cache clear and factory reset but it's still the same.. Any help would be appreciated * +

you shouldn't be the only ones with this problem if it's all down to the update. if can find others in the same boat HTC are probably working on it already.. * +

check to see if you can see the card is detected by built in apps rather than by downloaded ones.. HTC might have just implemented google's policy of restricting 3rd party apps to internal memory only..

they are still under warranty so returning the phone to the retailer is an option if you get no joy trying to contact HTC directly... * +

Thanks for the reply, htc offered to fix it but wanted to charge, which is ridiculous seeing as it was their update that caused the issues, luckily Amazon have agreed to change swap it for a new one * +

But how can the manufacturer give a update that essentially ruins the phone, and then want to charge to fix it *
