iPhone is even worse, the Camera UI is bare, if you want a proper camera phone I'd suggest you look at a Nokia Lumia e.g. 920, or Nokia 808 Pure View. * +

I wont go nokia. its strange that a k810i in 2007 had xenon flash that cud trigger speedlights and also cud b modded for manual focus but latest phones cant. * +

it's not that it can't be done. it's a matter of access to the correct source code for effective mod writing. Android maybe open source, but manufacturer specific parts of the fone are not.. if control of things isn't in a high layer of things like a config file, then code needs to be rewritten.. * +
