on my 7 inch google tablet I get this cell standby in my battery use app and it drains my battery how do I switch this off as the tablet can not take any simcard * +

the firmware still has four apps that are present in a normal android fone that are causing the problem.. if you are rooted you can remove these apps and the problem will go away, although this has only been tested on a CM custom rom. you might try freezing them first in case it causes you bigger issues.. Phone, MMS, VoiceDialer and Telephony Provider. * +

there are lots of results relating to this on google... strangely it's the same issue that plagues s3 owners who wake up to a flat battery.. in their case it's been suggested that the micro SIM card is the cause. original SIMs cut down manually don't give the same problem * +
