Can i get info about this here please? Ok if i download the free package do i have to be connected to the net to explore areas of the world and see the aerial views? Or do they come with the package? I'm kinda thinkin as you explore it retrieves the relevant images from their huge database online right? Amazing programme though shame i haven't got the net :( * +

Sounds like worldwind, which can be downloaded at worldwind.arc.nasa.gov me thinks the addy is correct... You can zoom into any part of the globe and it retrieve pics from various sats... Its a 170meg download for the software tho * +

And you need to be connected to web to get sat images btw * +

but you do have to be connected to their server to use. no very good for dial-up users *
