so there is no way of getting rid of them? everytime i send an sms i get a notification of my credit,, i listen to music on my phone and it cuts it argh... googling did not help btw. * +

Yes rather annoying if u send and retrieve a text and the the text tone goes both ways! I CAN SCREEM! * +

Switch to giffgaff you can turn those alerts off with them * +

Text alert tones cant be switched off with any network but id rather see what credit ive sending texts * +

yes there is away, somewhere on phone there is a way to turn off NETWORK updates/ notifications (well on a nokia there is). cant remember exactly how its done as that got on my nerves too and i left o2 years ago because of it. if i do remember right its somewhere in the text message settings, * +
