they cant put the price up for anyone currently on a contract, thats what a contract is eg. 24 months at blah blah.. if they change it then there in breach of that contract * +

Yeah, reading through the page linked to above, it would appear that section 9.6 of the Telecoms Act gives you the right to cancel if changes cause 'material detriment'. * +
