I've not owned the model, so this is what I've gleaned from the web, not personal experience - I don't believe you'll be able to totally stop the keypad lighting up, but if you go to: 'settings/display/power saver' you should be able to alter the time the light is on FOR, and hence save a bit of battery life. Hope this helps. *
