It depens you should always check to see if it can be unlocked as some 3 phones in oz cant be unlocked well thats what one of there catalogs said * +

as above said some phones are hardwired to the 3 network, and as slwnoris said get 3 to unlock it, as its new if you unlock it yourself via market stalls etc it will invalidate your warrenty * +

Take it back and try and get a refund. I got same phone few weeks ago from carphone warehouses for 129.99 unlocked to any network, plus I never had to buy any credit with it as they did it as an upgrade. * +

Well, grrr at three shop!! Took it back. And they would only refund the phone, and not the sim card! Which was sold with the phone. So only got a partial refund! I cannot use the sim without buying a three phone. But if i havent a dam signal, aaargh!! *
