hey if opera mini fails that network test is there anything we can do? on nokia I had no problem but I now using w995 by sony erricson and it fails starting test. * +

I've not seen an initial failure of the setup, but have a look at the w995 section of the Opera Mini faqs here: http://is.gd/fwi6i there might be new settings you need, and that page should help. * +

Have a look in setting change http to socket if ur using http, if using socket change it to http. * +

I was going to suggest that, but I know on some models at least, that if the connection test fails (straight after installation) the only option you have is to exit. Good advice if you can reach the settings menu though. * +

hey care to share which settings to go to, u mean in opera? I heard the network has to give some models a special code, its silly lol whats the point. I using normal wap browser but dont like it. * +

There's no specific network settings in this version, except for the 'http' or 'socket' choices mentioned above - that's in 'settings' (the spanner icon) then 'advanced', then 'protocol'. * +
