It could be that your network operates a content lock or 'safeguard' system that prevents users accessing sites with 
'adult' content - although you may not know such sites even have adult content, or it's stuff most people can deal with, like some strong language in a forum. It could also just be a bad gateway error - some sites won't let you access via wap or a certain IP, mobile * +

providers will have thousands of subscribers using the same IP, so it's a convenient way to stop wap users accessing. You can of course use a proxy bypass to get around this (or if your network's blocking content) as usual, the easiest proxy browsing solution is Opera Mini.. (I don't work for 'em, honest). * +

The 406 errors can be a subnetmask ip rejection of your providers server too . Some links are also for specific phone models like an iphone . * +

I forgot one item . If you are using the oneup browser , they actively work with phone companies to block content . *
