Well iphone shifted 7 million units last quarter worldwide,so its popular ,a lets face it net3 dont have that many great phones so wouldant hurt them, depends on price and contract tho. * +

It will be interesting to see how much the iphone will cost on PAYG once more than one network has them. I have seen unlocked 3G iphones advertised for GBP500+ (eg on play.com). * +
