Take your battery and sim out and leave it in an airing cupboard overnight. Don't attempt fast drying with a hairdryer or radiator as this will cause bubbling which when burst leave residue on the circuitboard. Some people recommend leaving it in a bag of (uncooked) rice, but I haven't tried that personally. * +

i used the hairdryer on it but on the cold setting!! i have it wrapped in a pillowcase now in the airing cupboard 
if it dont work i'll have lost all my pix, vids + songs * +

The cold setting won't have done much harm. Let's hope it recovers overnight
