I just ordered some free O2 sim cards after seeing a tv ad for their latest deal: unlimited texts and unlimited internet for 15 pounds per month. But I want to know, will i be able to use the O2 internet to use my phone as a modem to connect my computer to the net? I currently use tmob sim in my sony ericsson k800i, and am able to use the phone as modem with tmobs 2 pounds 50p for 5 days unlimited internet deal. I will get the k800i unlocked so I can use it with O2 sim if it will work as modem o * +

It says in o2's terms it's not to be used for modem access so it probably won't work, besides it's unlikely to be truly unlimited like T-mobile. * +

it will work, what they mean is it will take up too much data on pc with it being not truely unlimited

ragnorak: it says in tmobs Terms and Conditions that you mustnt use phone as modem. But I do it every day. So thats no reason to assume it wont work. What i want to know is: does anyone here have experience of trying to use O2 phone as modem on PAYG? I know ppl have done it in the past on O2 contract. * +
