The govt claim its necessary to combat the criminals who use these sim cards to remain anonymous. But the real reason is because the govt want to be Big Brother. * +

If you're under 16 your parent or guardian must register it on their name. And if your sim isn't registered after 18months, they're gonna block your sim until you register it. *
