Fone has developed a fault 9 months into a 12 month contract. Orange has forced me to take out 4 months insurance in order to get a replacement. Surely this is illegal! * +

no u get a manufacturers warranty directly with the manufacturer. Orange send the faulty phone within the 1st 6 months free of charge providing that u have proof of purchase. im guessing u dont have that thats why u are going down this route * +

But if you buy a vacuum cleaner from Argos and it develops a fault you don't ring Hoover, you take it back to Argos! What's the difference? * +

Argos returns policy is very poor from a companies point of view cause u can make up a fault totally in the store n they just take it back n u get a new device or something close to it. its a system that gets abused a lot. anyway u signed a 12 month contract so your agreeing with them terms n conditions. 12 month deal? was this done over the phone? if so then maybe u should go into a store... * +
