Did u knw that if u search at google.Com/wml with a phne that only shows wml pages it gives different results to a search using a modern phne that shows xhtml pages. Any idea how to get the same results on a xhtml phne to that of a wml phne. Any alternative address to try on the xhtml phne? Google.Com/xhtml dosnt work * +

When using Google.com/wml you get the results mostly suitable for java mobile phone's browser. But that google's xtml gives results which can be viewed perfectly on pc and on smart phones but not on java phones.. * +

At the bottom of the Google page there should be options that say 'view Google in Mobile/Classic', you can elect to choose 'Mobile' and at the bottom of the results page you can click on 'view results from Mobile web' then you'll get the normal wap results. * +

No ya wrong mate. They give different results. If u bookmark the 1st page of results frm both phnes. It differs slightly the wml phne gives mrestrict=wml and the xhtml phne gives mrestrict=mobile * +

Oh right, thanks for the info; as I can choose in most of my browsers whether it identifies itself as a wap or desktop browser it's not something I come across very often, and to be honest these days I hardly ever touch wap as it really doesn't have much to offer. This is about the only site I visit on wap and that's for old times sake really. * +

Try searching the same keyword in an old phone as the moden one and then compare the results displayed (I doubt they will differ). Maybe your getting XHTML pages because google couldn't find any wml pages of what you have searched. * +
