This has been mentioned already by haze2k elsewhere but it's going unnoticed there. Great news, Virgin Mobile UK now offers unlimited GPRS browsing to the whole mobile web (not just their homepage) for only 30p per day! This is the lowest daily rate going and the third cheapest after 3 and o2 on a monthly comparison. They have a content lock but you can easily remove it on their website using Opera Mini after you've registered. Anyone with a T-mobile phone can switch without unlocking too. * +

Hmmm not a bad rate. Is it really 'unlimited' or is there a fair usage limit? Shame virgin gota cr*p signal where i am. * +

Fair usage limit is 25mb per day. * +

Other things Virgin Mobile is good for are free voicemail and your second five minutes of calls free each day on Daily Bonus tariff (flat rate of 15p per minute). * +

but even if you just connect once. i mean just visit 1 page it will charge you 30 pence. its not like other networks. orange or t-mobile dont charge 1 pound in one go, you can pay for 1 page. but here 30p gone. otherwise its ok atleast better than vodafone * +

Seems ok but the content lock removal bit seems too much hassle. * +

Yep that's true, but it shouldn't be an issue for the vast majority of us who browse at least a few dozen pages each day. I kind of like that it's taken right away in fact, at least you don't have to keep watching your credit to see if it really does stop at 30p. I'll probably still stick with 3 and o2 myself though as they serve me well. * +

@39heaven it's easy, first call 789 to register your details with customer service (and make a note of the password you give and its spelling). Then go to www.virginmobile.com and register your online account, you can use the same password you gave on the phone. Then login and go to your account settings and switch it off. I did it using Opera Mini, and I'm not even on the electoral roll. * +
