I'd recommend against buying any phone locked to Orange simply because they charge double the price for an unlock code compared to the other networks. It's okay if you've got the software to unlock it yourself I guess, but personally I prefer to do it by code. * +

The price of Unlocking a phone to any network depends on a couple of things, the make/model of the phone and the software thats on the phone! Some have to be opened up and the chip has to be located others will just accept a code! Latest model phones with latest software can cost up to 25quid on average, older models as little a 3quid. Search google for other fone forums to get coded unlocks free *
