Havin probs wit getting gmail to log in on my opera mini4 any ideas?..doesn load the page, hmmm * +

Yeah, I don't usually login to Gmail using Mini, but I've just tried it, and after clicking 'login' I got a blank page with 'Google' at the top left. (ok pedants, it wasn't a COMPLETELY blank page, lol). Hang on, I'll try via Profimail... hmmm, logged in fine, must be a Mini server problem. * +

Just tried via Opera Mobile and that logged in fine too, so it must be a specific Mini problem at the moment. Do you have the Gmail java app? I don't have it at the moment, but it might be worth checking to see if it's working via that. If you don't have it on your phone, go to: http://gmail.com/app * +

Well I just tried again and got the same error. Clicked on 'I can't login to my account' (after clicking 'back' in Mini) read through the help topics and wondered about my settings.. changed from 'socket' to 'http', entered the main gmail addy again, and there was my account.. hope this helps. The solution is actually pretty simple. Be sure to check 'Remember me on this computer' when you log in. If you get the blank page, wait 5 seconds. Then press menu, enter address, type gmail.com, and your account will load. * +

I don't have any prob getting onto gmail with mini but i have it set to http too * +

Yeah, @ xerxes (hi mate btw, long time) but the gmail cookie's already on your phone regardless of what browser you use, so the 'remember me' isn't particularly necessary and although the addy re-entry works, it's still a real pain in the backside to have to do it each time rather than being able to access your account immediately. Hopefully it's a short-term problem that either Opera or gmail will deal with. * +
