Cookies causes a small increase in GPRS data transfer so better switch cookies OFF. Some sites requires the use of cookies. Some other sites have functions not working without cookies. If cookies are ON (and you don't clear them) then if a website is using cookies they are able to see that you've been visiting them in the past. They may have coded nickname or search phrase etc into their cookie. * +
