hey say if u went to download a midi tone that was 76kb how long would that take for ur phone to download it? on mine it tells u how many seconds left, for that 76kb midi it took 1minute and 9seconds. bit slow yea lol sumin not right there. * +

sounds like it is really slow like 1 or 2 kb. for 1kb that would be 1:16. btw the letter size is important K is always big and small b and big b are not the same thing * +

The k size is not important. It's the size of the b that makes a difference. * +

b is bit and B is byte - 1 Byte equals +- 8 bits - so 1kB/s is about 8kbps * +

It's appalling for any type of connection - on 3g 76kb is eyeblink stuff, less than 2 seconds generally, are you sure you didn't mean 760kb? That'd take about 20 seconds on 3g. Even on the slowest dial-up connection it shouldn't take more than about 15 seconds for 76kb, what phone, what download method and what network are you using? *
