Which is the best Orange tariff to go on, which do you get most value for your money? * +

Dolphin probably, you get both 300 texts and 50mb browsing free. Canary is okay if you make a lot of off-peak calls and don't mind buying bundles to pay for your wap. Don't touch the other two animal tariffs though. * +

I wouldn't recommend ANY of the animal packages if it's possible for a new subscriber to avoid them (I'm not sure). I'm still on their basic 'same rates 24' package (although they may have changed it's name) and buy extras for browsing/texts etc. As far as I can tell the animal packages seem to have a flat rate of 25p per minute for calls, whereas I'm paying 15p per minute. * +

I imagine the animal tariffs will be the only ones available to new users. It's 20p per minute on Dolphin and Canary according to the info line, if most of your calls are to landlines though you can bring down the cost with the 100 minutes for 10 pound extra. Personally I only use O2, Virgin or Vodafone for calls depending on the type as they're better value. * +
