Thats incorrect 25_08. All packet data services, 3G HSDPA 2G EDGE GPRS etc. have the same cost. The only difference is that becoz 3G is faster than normal GPRS it mite seem like u r bein charged mor coz u browse or download mor things in a sh*reter space of tym thn u wudve with 2G. All packet data services r on pay 4 as much as u use basis. if u use a few kBs @ a time, itl be cheap * +

ok,you asked why its so expensive wen u use your phone as a modem an you're on voda,the simple answer is... 1.voda is naturally expensive,just cos they say they charge R2 per mb,duzint meant that they actually do,secondly wen u on your pc the pages u open are much larger than the pages u wud normally open up wit your phone,hence more data usage which wil lead to u being charged more.. *
