In the past ive gone for windows smartphones cos of their massive screens and better compatibility with the web than the nokia communicator series. After all the web is in a way designed around windows and not symbian. Unfortunatly the new windows phones are much smaller now meaning the screens are no longer as large. Infact the vario 111s screen is no bigger than the N95 8gb at 2.8 inches. * +

And now the new E90s screen is actually larger than the vario 111. Although the letterbox type screen isnt ideal for Gps. Iam also told that the Gps is much better on the windows phones and then you have the symbian compatibility issues on the web. Its irritating when you cant stream a lot of web content that use windows media player and not realplayer. * +

So iam torn between the 2 and i really dont know what to do. I know you cant install windows media player on a symbian device but could you install a realplayer app on a windows phone thereby having the best of both worlds? Or another universal type media player on either device? What would you choose between these 2 phones? Nokia or windows? * +

Another thing ive found with communicators is that they allways seem to have issues with sites that need java. Ive had the 9000, 9210, 9210i and 9500 and whilst the very early 9000 series didnt have java the 92 series and 9500 did and yet they all have problems with sites requiring java and they report your browser as being either out of date or unrecogonised. * +

id take the E90, it now has Flashlite3.0 which allows it to view Full Flash Websites including the Full PC Version of YouTube, it should be fine with sites that require Java, remember the E90 is using the new NOKIA S60 Safari Browser, This Web Browser is 2nd ONLY to the iPhone Safari browser, otherwise its better than Opera in WM. * +
