So i got some cool apps like opera mini and ebuddy for my 6230 but gprs keeps disconnecting and reconnecting by itself in a middle of a session on those which is very frustrating as i get d/c off msn on ebuddy. Standard wap browsing works fine without any d/c. Its on the apps only. I thought messing with app access menu various option would help but nothing till now... Any ideas? * +

I can't speak about each and every version of OperaMini but it was designed from the early versions to disconnect after only seconds of inactivity. About half a minute without any traffic and the GPRS session it started is ended. This has led to some users misinterpreting the phone's data counter since it then typically resets to zero and only GPRS bytes from last page viewed is shown upon exit. * +

@xrayeyes - in Opera Mini itself, have you tried going to 'tools/settings/ network' and changing 'protocol' from 'http' to 'socket'? The latter keeps an open connection to Opera Minis servers and therefore MAY be a solution for that app. * +

Hmm... If I turn to sockets mode then opera wont load a site at all. It just shows an error message. It just makes no sense to d/c after a few seconds,i mean, that way sessions get expired so you cant do things like checking yahoo mail. Ebuddy crashes too but not that often. I doubt its my network or apn cause if i just browse wap sites connection stays on all along. *
