T mobile is also good coverage and internet is great value if you take out a 7 quid a month web and walk package. You can really surf to your hearts content. (subject to fare use policy) but you tend to have less choice of handsets on t mobile than other networks which may restrict you when you come to upgrade a year or so down the line. * +

In my experiance ive found vodafone to be the worse network for coverage and call capacity. The vodafone shops have a surprisingly limited range of phones. There is also no vodafone email on pay as you talk according to customer services. Pay as you go customers can be treated as 2nd class citizens and there are less features on vodas pay as you talk than other networks prepay. * +

(worst signal and capacity) t mobile and orange usually lock their phones. But 02 leave most of their contract phones unlocked. 02 and vodafone tend to get the latest phones before tmobile and orange. Especially if you goto carphone warehouse. * +

CPW don't do Vodafone. All contract phones at CPW are unlocked. * +
