I need to know which network provides best rates/priceplans for sending text messages to an international number. So far i have found orange does 15p a text on one of their tariffs. How much is it to send a text message to a country in asia from other networks? * +

cheapest option is o2. Buy international option on payg its a one-off payment of 4.99 and this bring international text down to 10p. * +

Get a Your Country O2 SIM from Carphone Warehouse (free upon buying a 10 pound top-up). Not only will this give you the best rate for texts - 10p to anywhere in the world - but you'll also get at least 50 free minutes to call abroad as a reward for topping-up each month. * +

P.S you don't need to buy the 4.99 bolt-on with the Your Country SIM to get the 10p text rate. * +

how much do you have to top up each month to get 50 free minutes and is the free minutes world-wide or just certain european countries? * +

You have to top-up 10 pounds to get 50 minutes, 15 to get 100 or 30 to get 200. The minutes do genuinely seem to be to any other country in the world, I've called as far afield as Brunei for free (normally a pound a minute) and there's nothing in the small print limiting the countries. You even get a reassuring 'free call' verbal alert before the number rings. * +

D best tariff ever is Celtel Nigeria. 9naira per text to anywhere in d solar system. And imagine 1pound is 252naira by d exchange rate. * +
