Its down to personal opinion which network you prefer. I've been on t mobile contract for 18 months. Hardly any problems at all. Previous to that i was on o2 pay as you go. Only reason i went to t mob was because of their wap bolton. Which i thought they provided on pay as you go too. Contract is up very soon, looking at o2 though as better range of phones than t mob unfortunately. * +

Oh and i've also got the t mobile modem. Absolutely fantastic, no complaints what so ever with it! Maybe slightly slow at sometimes but thats probably due to where i use it. I think o2 now do a modem too. * +

i find tmobile connection coverage v poor but use it 4 the mates rates pass 4 5days unlimited txt n calls to otha t moby users but u get 6days if u put it on after 1pm saves me a small fortune. * +

O2's Your Numbers bolt-on is miles better value than the Mates Rates pass, only 5 pounds a month for 1000 minutes/texts to ten numbers. Well it would be if all your friends were on O2 instead of T-mobile at least. *
