I have a Samsung D900i on 02 pay as you talk in the Uk. When iam out and about i get the G symbol indicating GPRS but when iam at home i get the E Symbol. Anyone know what this is? * +

Ive just been told the E means edge data is available. But wouldnt you need different settings in order to take advantage of thd technology? * +

Gprs = 48kbps, edge = 239kbps 3g = 384 kbps * +

Ta for that. But what about different settings? * +

Gsm dial up = 9.6kps lol! I wouldnt have thought you would need alternative settings for edge anymore than you do for 3g? (its interesting to see how many non 3g phones samsung still make for the uk market isnt it? Even the G600 and G700 are not 3g am i correct? It all questions the popularity of 3g in the uk.) * +

Actually i think the G700 maybe 3g, but the G600 and U600 Are certainly 2.5g *
