its the security code for ur phone that u type in to clear it and 12345 is a standerd code on nokias *

If it is a Nokia, which it sounds like, the default code will be as mentioned by sxiausi above, but it's also the code you use to lock your phone, so if you've changed it, it'll be that number. *
