silent isnt the way to go ... go to profiles and turn warning tones off in your current profile ie general * +

Oh that works on N73 does it? I've had warning tones permanently switched off on my 6630 and N70 and still get the loud annoying Nokia tune at start up. * +

u can press any button on the phone just as its about to make the tone an it cancels it * +

No the warning tones don't affect startup in my experience, but try madmaks button-pressing tip above, that works :) * +
