The first of the new wifi cards to use the 700 Mhz band has been launched. The 700 Mhz band is in the process of being freed up. It has a range of 30 miles and data speed of 50 Mb per second. The implications of this mean the end of the phone networks and masts altogether. * +

Hmm its a good thing new phones have wifi cos ur gonna be stuffed in 2 years if you dont. Millions of old phones will be obsolete because i predict mobile networks will move out of uk because there will be no buisness for them. * +

the mobile networks will just upgrade to the new spectrum for new phones and allow use of the old spectrums for older phones. No big deal. * +
