there are free tv stations on dstv. bout 16. they all christian stations. my mom watches that s**t. you don't need a subscription only a smart card * +

i get mm1 free on a test channel in the Public PAS7/10 bouquet. I don't have a subscription. Also BOTSW channel is free. Some gud bbc stuff on there and an excellent news channel SABC News International free on the public bouquet. One needs to tune the frequencies to get the channels. * +
