Thanks. Ive sign up windows live messenger fine bv cant find the chat room, does ne1 know wot link i have 2click on, or do i have to have a web cam to do basic chat? *

Doesn't have a 'chat' room as such, you need contacts which you already know that you can 'bud' or add to your messenger contacts *
