It would be handy 2 know if u need 2 activate ur EDGE,as I dont have EDGE on Vodacom,but I do on MTN.Is Vodacoms EDGE so limited then?Or should I call Customer Care?Please ppl its gr8 vlive works again n all but sheesh Im used 2 EDGE now and GPRS is SLOW!

In the uk i'd imagine you would pick up EDGE(net and handset enabled)without having to activate anything...as for the future,hmm can see different tariffs for gprs/edge/3G.Time will tell. * +

Edge is like 3G and GPRS if there's an edge signal ul pick it up if there isn't then sorry 4 u currently to my knowledge there's edge in the Cape region , somewere in PTA ,Frystaat.. go to www.vodacom.co.za then check the data coverage map and c if there's edge in ur region. * +
