It does accept my username and password because the login wav file is played but it brings me back to the login page. If i type in anything else it says username or password is incorrect * +

At abhicool i can only login to ubuntu through failsafe mode using the username and password i set during installation. I didnt set anything for root * +

Which desktop enviroment r u using? Make sure u select gnome or kde... If you did that, then maybe they was an error while installing them... Try installing xfce *
