Thanx 2 all da vlive gprs topic, i have got my pc running on free gprs, u must have opera etc. 1st goto ur settings menu in opera and goto net work, then goto proxy servers and enable the 1st 4 boxes and type in the proxy at each, 196.6.128.12 and the port no. 80 then ok, goto create a new connection, on ur pc, not thru a networking wizard phone toolz etc. Make a dail up connection and just type * +

In the dail up no. *99# , make sure ur phone's vlive settings active, U CANTat least i couldnt Connect thru internet xplorer. If u did this write, viola free internet, this is just a shorter version of the vlive sa topic thingy, thanx again 2 all da guys who posted, u saved me millions, legal issues, if the fonez branded wit vodafone, ur safe, as 4 da other fonez, datz another story,hope it work * +

on a mobile download opera 8.5 or 8.51 it worx on vlive *symbian phones only* * +

i am gonna try and make it easy for ppl to understand why we are limited using vlive. Vodacom has blocked most ports onthe internet. The only ports avaliable using vlive are ports 443(secure), 8080(http) and 1080(socks). That is why web browsing and any application that uses those ports will work. any other app like shareaza, limewire or any torrents will not work. they use different ports * +

vodacom also checks what client u r using. They check your user agent. The only web browser that will work is opera (without changing useragents). that is why we use a proxy tunneler (your-freedom). That program bypasses the proxy server. All data gets sent to a different server first (namely the freedom server), then it comes to us. that makes vodacom think that we are just browsing... * +

to download the proxy tunneler, goto http://www.your-freedom.net. Register and download the java version, the others will not download on the vlive connection. then get the snapshot of how the freedom client must be setup at http://i2.tinypic.com/vffqye.jpg. * +

U must have vliue settings on ur fone, try google and search 4 1 dat worx, or try the other vlive topic, there r sum real useful stuff there * +
