First one i had the 3g symbol would appear when i used gprs. And disappear when i change network to gsm from dual. My new 6680 the 3g logo doesn't flash dependant of what the network is selected as. Wierd. Same sim too * +

Mine shows 3g symbol when i 1st switch it on then the signal boosts and it goes. With my 3g voda sim the 3g symbol appeared randomly * +

No 3g is not permanent, it depends on network reception and it would seem to be very bad in my area, i get it only here and then. * +
