officers for telephone operators...who do you get in your area? I know in the USA, you call any one organisation, Indians will be on the other line. Here for me its the philipinies people. What is yours? * +

With my phone provider, I usually get someone with an american east coast accent. Just about everyone else is from India. * +

It depends, I called Internode the other day and it was a nice local woman who was extremely helpful.

The Indian Netgear guy helped to a certain degree too, but I had to call the Internode girl again to resolve the issue. * +

Virgin Mobile customer service is fking awful. I don't know where they are from. I think they are asians with an American accent? Or Canadian idk.. but I get errors every time I try to recharge my internet with them. Instead of resolving the issue they tell me to ring them up to process my voucher manually :/. Richard Branson wouldn't be impressed if he knew how they are fking his brand image over. * +

haven't phoned in a while but T-Mobile here used to be lovely Scottish peoples...

I tend to feel sorry for the Indians who have to pretend they have western names and only get taught to follow a call script. I used to get annoyed but those guys must be utterly miserable all day long so I try and make it easier on them... * +

I think all these foreign calls centres is an absolute scandel. If your customers are british, they should be able to speak to british staff when they have issues, also keeps more jobs in the country. Its annoying because no matter how good their english is in these call centres, stuff always get lost in translation or they just read off a script they cant deviate off, might aswell be talking to a robot half the time. * +
