Ok this is a bit weird. I teach IT to young people aged 16-18 and recently one of the young boys has been confiding in me saying that's he's depressed n has no one to talk to etc. there was an incident 2 weeks ago where we had to take him to AE cus he said he wanted to kill himself. Since then he's been seeing a psychiatrist n doesn't seem as bad but still looks to talk to me everyday. Today he told me he feels like it's an obsession that he needs to talk to me everyday n described it as transference or something. I've told him he needs to stop depending on me so much etc but what else can I do now? Bearing in mind I have to teach him everyday. * +

Remove him from the class, it isn't your job to be a therapist and is beyond your capacity. It's unfair on you and possibly detrimental for him. * +

Can turn into serious stuff. I'd say since you may not be able to get him from the class you can just cut the 'therapy sessions'.. * +
