is it worth to upgrade to a ryzen 5 5600x from 5 3600? also will this work on my current mobo thats msi b450 m pro vdh max? i dnt plan of getting a new mobo..also will it require to install a clean os? * +

There is no point jumping on a 5600 from a 3600. If you decided to get into video editing and jumped on a 5900 it would make sense. The 3600 is already on decent ipc and ram support. If you are into gaming then save up for a better gpu or actually good storage. * +

The msi b450 mobos are some of the best on the b450 chipset and can even do a bit of overclocking. They even take a 16 core 5950x but without going high on the clocks. A 5600 is nothing for it to run. I have a 2700x on a msi b450 and its vrm is beefy enough for overclocking even a 8 core. They do suck because they dont support gen 4 nvme drives tho. * +

Save your money and keep your current setup or get Alvar to build you a log cabin in the woods and spend all day whittling things. * +
