8 cores with hyper threading give 16 threads to handle heavy work loads . The smaller cores are a revolutionary move by Intel and run all the background data completely separate from the main cores . On a normal 8 core those background tasks are shared across the threads impacting performance. You can run multiple background programs like discord ,teamspeak, capture software etc etc without any performance hit on the main cores at all . * +

You still playing at 60hz ?take the jump to 120hz or higher it makes such a big difference. I would actually say bigger than moving from 1080p to 4k and I would never go back to playing at 60hz * +

Hard to get those frames. Struggling to get a steady 60 with a 1080ti in 4k. Been thinking about jumping on a 120hz qled tv tho. But the consoles will never really hit 120hz in 4k. A rtx 4080 might tho. My 3440by1440 monitor does 75hz but i dont get many games that get a minimum frame above that. Need to invest in a rtx 4080 if it comes in on a good price. I just cant turn down the resolution to get 120fps its not worth it. * +

Amd was fiddeling with straight to gpu loading on there rx6000 series i think? Similar how a ps5 does. Fast world loading and no hiccups or popups thanks to that also. The quick resume thing is awesome. Just turn on your console and immediately get back to your game. * +

It is a cool tech but i would rather take a full 16core. Intel is struggling to get down there heat and wattage that is why they meddle with the e cores. They need to get on that 7 or 5nm soon. * +

Yeah I understand that but loading from system ram is about 5 times faster than the fastest gen 4 nvme * +

16 cores is cool if youre doing more than gaming. Make a RAM disk load in a game and you will see what I mean . Or benchmark it against a gen 4 nvme ,there is no contest system memory runs around 25gbs compared to the fastest nvme which I think is about 7gbs . * +
