i gave into the hype and bought a rapsberry pi 3 last week. I tried to install it into my mediapi case it fitted ok no surprise as the board is the same size and shape as the pi 2. Only problems i had was for some reason my external hard drive was draining the power from the pi 3 and i couldnt watch anything on my kodi. The hd is powered,seperately also the audio jack wouldnt output the sound to my sound bar, i have ordered a wolfson hifi digi plus optical spdif card from ebay to try and sort that problem out. * +

maybe connect the HD to a powered USB hub first if you have one (he said in total wild speculation). * +
