Morning all. The track pad on my laptop doesn't recognise when it's pressed in to operate as the mouse clicks, it happens all of a sudden as I was using a web chat service with Xbox.com. Any ideas why this wouldn't work now? It's a Sony lappy running windows 8, latest version had been updated too. * +

Clean the pad with a cloth that is damp with warm soapy water. The keyword is damp, not wet. You don't want any water being forced between the cracks. * +

Is your track pad driver up to date? By track pad clicking you mean tapping on pad or clicking the pad buttons?
could be possible your track pad's screwed. * +

It has no buttons, it's just the pad and it clicks in. It still works so you can move the cursor. The laptop is barely used to be fair * +
